THERE’S so many great tracks around at the moment that I’m having trouble keeping up as the record companies rush out material in time for Christmas.

In this set - iDance 09 - personally I like Tinatin’s “Thinking of someone else”. This undoubtedly talented girl from Georgia in Eastern Europe, who has spent time in the UK and is now based in New York, seems to be having trouble breaking through. Maybe 2009 will be her year. http://www.myspace.com/tinatinmusic German DJ and Producer Kinky Roland provides an excellent remake of “Cafe del Mar”. http://www.myspace.com/kinkyroland Kinky is busy collaborating with loads of people including Boy George. You have to give credit to Ian Anthony Stephens for quickly producing a switched around version of Katy Perry’s classic with “I kissed a boy”. The electro-tinged, NRG track could be a popular request at rugby clubs and Christmas parties all over the world with blokes drunkenly snogging each other! http://www.klonerecords.com/ Gianni Chiarpparini and Filippo Travani (aka Michel Bouvier) bring “Electro moving” - a completely hypnotic electro-pop track.
